Booktube-A-Thon July 2016: DAY 1

Day 1 is done!! I got about half way through my first book, Love Walked In by Marisa de los Santos. It took me about 100 pages to get into it, but before I even realized it, I was deeply hooked into the lives of these characters and the mutual problem that brought them all together. I really can’t wait to see how this plays out. And I’m really considering picking up another book by Marisa de los Santos … I’m just wary of “mushy” stories. This wasn’t “mushy” per se,…

Manicure Monday: Jamberry Challenge

It is odd that St. Patrick’s Day and Easter are a week apart this year, so this past week I wore some wraps that I thought complimented both holidays! I also thought it would be a fun idea to take a picture everyday for five days to see how the wraps hold up, or don’t 😉 I have the results for you!!!

Bookshelf Update: January 2016

I’m really excited to start a new monthly series this year called “Bookshelf Update!” This is what book Bloggers/YouTubers are calling “Wrap Ups” and most commonly post on a monthly basis. Welcome to the FIRST EDITION of “Bookshelf Update!” The month of January is always my slowest reading month, so this won’t be too terribly exciting, although I did purchase quite a few books this month 🙂 Amazon prime … my best friend & worst enemy 😉 This series will be sponsored by the BookDepository.com. Book Review: Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard

This is a world divided by blood – red or silver. The Reds are commoners, ruled by a Silver elite in possession of god-like superpowers. And to Mare Barrow, a seventeen-year-old Red girl from the poverty-stricken Stilts, it seems like nothing will ever change. That is, until she finds herself working in the Silver Palace. Here, surrounded by the people she hates the most, Mare discovers that, despite her red blood, she possesses a deadly power of her own. One that threatens to destroy the balance of power. Fearful of…

2015 Book Challenge: April: We Were Liars by E. Lockhart

We Were Liars by E. Lockhart was the best book I read in April (I read four books, you can find them all here) and is one of my favorites this year. There are so many quotes from this book that I’d like to paste memes here for, but alas, I will only paste a few for you. This book was so deep and powerful for me – ok, it IS officially my favorite read of 2015 so far. I think it was so powerful because I did not see the twist…

2015 Book Challenge: March: Uninvited by Sophie Jordan

For the month of March, I read Uninvited by Sophie Jordan. This is the first book of the Uninvited series. The author, Sophie, has not announced how many books will be in this series, but she did just announce the title of the second book, which is not available for sale yet. If you are interested, you can  pre-order it, it is called Unleashed. Uninvited is about a girl who lives a blessed life, with rich parents, an upstanding neighborhood, a private school, the boyfriend that all the girls at…
